I actually started reading Dorie Basarab book 1 around the time that I had begun listening to the audiobooks for the Cassie Palmer series and had no idea at the start that they were from the same author. Fans of vamps and dhampirs should add this one to their wish lists simply to experience Chance’s unique take on the genre. Anyone who might have had a hard time following Cassie’s time traveling hijinx will find Midnight’s Daughter more to their taste with it’s straight forward flow and action pact plot. This book became a fast fav for me at the time because of Chance’s inventive world building, interesting characters, humor and fast paced story lines.
