There is something about the way Ally Carter writes that just makes me happy! It’s like when you’re on the phone and you can hear it when someone is smiling, you can just feel the euphoria in her words. I really can’t get enough of this series. But I pretty much love most anything Richelle Mead puts out. I know a lot of people don’t really like Sage but I think Sid is a refreshing voice in YA and a total departure from Mead’s other heroines. I definitely recommend the audiobook for anyone struggling to find a reason to like Sidney. So we’ve all griped about the price of e-books at some point in the past. It’s the nature of the product, after you get past the cost of formatting the thing it’s pure profit. There’s no printing or shipping costs. I know there are a lot of other expenses that go into publishing a book but the mark up ratio between some e-books and their paper counterparts can be crazy. I don’t even care if a book is considered middle grade when it’s as good as The Seven Realms Series. If high fantasy is your thing don’t let the placement of this book sway you since some stores will have it shelved with the teens while others in the children’s section.
