Monday’s Musings – Covers & Domains

March 11, 2013 by unwasted words

First up, I got this bit of info from Your Urban Fantasy, it’s the new new cover and summary of Cassie Palmer #6! “Being a goddess is a lot less fun than you might think. Especially when you’re only a half goddess, and you only found out about it recently, and you still don’t know what you’re doing half the time. And when you’ve just used your not-so-reliable powers to burglarize the booby-trapped office of a vampire mob boss. Yeah, […]

Thursday’s Thoughts -Updates

October 4, 2012 by unwasted words

So I thought I’d make some rounds within the book world and post some author news this week. A quick note for Rick Riordan fans, in part of the publicity Riordan has been doing leading up to the release of Mark Of Athena, the author stated that his next project was going to be on his first love, Norse, mythology. I for one can’t wait to see what kind of spin he puts on Thor and Loki. On her blog, […]

All About Owen

September 23, 2012 by unwasted words

Always being the one to make the hard choices leaves it’s toll. Normally getting between a rock and a hard place is a pretty comfortable position for Gin, unfortunately getting caught up in a widow’s web not only threatens lives but her love as well. And the toll between the lesser of two evils could cost Gin couples counseling or her relationship Owen. Even after a vacation Gin is finding herself running a little ragged. It seems like every two […]

Monday’s Musings -What’s New in the World of Sequels

June 18, 2012 by unwasted words

I found some newly released covers and a little Bloodlines news this week. There’s a lot happening in the YA world of sequels! Checkout these newly released covers from some popular series spanning urban fantasy, dystopian, horror, and paranormal romance, lending a little eye candy no matter what your flavor of choice. Jennifer Estep posted the new cover of Mythos Academy book #4 on goodreads. Crimson Frost is sporting a different model, not as pretty as the last one but […]

Twenty Tweets with Jennifer Estep

June 7, 2012 by unwasted words

New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Estep has taken some time out of her busy schedule to answer a few questions about her work and the newly released third installment of the Mythos Academy series, Dark Frost. I would like to thank Jennifer again for making the time to answer these questions and going along with my crazy concept. I can honestly say to all the fans and readers out there that she’s always been extremely nice and gracious in every […]

Wednesday’s Watch -Dark Frost

May 23, 2012 by unwasted words

I’m always up for a little mythology with comic book flare, and Jennifer Estep’s Kiss of Frost, definitely has me desperately seeking sequels. Dark Frost will no doubt please fellow fans of Gwen and Gin. Estep bridges the YA to Adult chasm with her gritty more mature teen novels.  My favorite part of Estep’s books is seeing how her heroine’s powers evolve, and Dark Frost doesn’t disappoint. So add this one to the top of your TBR pile because you won’t […]

Book of the Week!!! 03/26-04/02

March 27, 2012 by unwasted words

Opening with a line like, “My name is Gin, and I kill people.”, I think says it all. The first in Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Assassin series introduces readers to a sympathetic hit woman and an intriguing new world of corruption and elemental based magical abilities. Rounding out a great cast are complex relationships and a wonderful plot. This is one series opener you shouldn’t miss out on.  Get a copy Spider’s Bite on Amazon here.

Loads of Action & Twists, None of The Long Recaps

February 29, 2012 by unwasted words

By A Thread by Jennifer Estep The aftermath begins with a nice quiet getaway where no one’s trying to assassinate the assassin. At least, that was the idea. Retirement shouldn’t be so much work, especially after you kill the reining kingpin of the local criminal underworld. But infamy has it’s irony, since doing the deed has made the autruistic assassin Ashville’s biggest attraction. Miscreants and minions alike are all vying for position in the villainous vortex that Mab Monroe’s death created. And […]
